Freestanding Emergency Room Opening New Location In Portland

PORTLAND, Texas (October 30, 2015) — Physicians Premier ER is announcing the opening of their new ER facility in Portland this November.

The new Portland ER is located on the northbound side of US HWY 181 in front of Academy Sports to serve the growing north shore. The Portland and northern Coastal Bend communities are invited to a pre-opening event for tours and refreshments Thursday, November 5^th from 5 – 7 p.m.

Physicians Premier ER is a group of freestanding, modern facilities that provide the same emergency care as a traditional emergency room, 24/7/365. Owned and operated by experienced physicians, Premier ER’s mission is to offer the community excellent, timely ER care in a comfortable environment at convenient locations, close to home.

Increasing demand on our region’s traditional ER hospitals is what inspired this group of six experienced local ER doctors to establish Physicians Premier ER. There are currently two locations in Corpus Christi and two more scheduled to open in 2016.

“We recognized the need for freestanding ER care in the Coastal Bend. There weren’t enough doctors or facilities to meet the needs of the population in a timely manner,” states Dr. Kenyon, one of Premier ER’s founders. “That’s why we decided to create these re-imagined emergency rooms in convenient locations around the Coastal Bend.”

As doctor run and operated emergency rooms, patients can expect to experience:

• 20 minute wait from time of arrival to be seen by an experienced doctor

• calm and comfortable environment in time of trauma
