When William Brown was having a heart attack, he went to the closest emergency room: Physicians Premier. Making the right call saved his life.
As a retired Navy Recon Corpsman, William strongly believes that all patients, including veterans, should be able to choose the nearest emergency room in a crisis and have their care covered.
On November 3, 2017, Monica Hinojosa came into Physicians Premier Emergency Room in Calallen concerned about her abdominal pain. She was 25 weeks pregnant and suspected that her water had broken.
Shortly after arrival, Monica spontaneously delivered an extremely delicate preterm baby boy who was not breathing. The emergency room team successfully resuscitated and called 911 for immediate transport and transfer to Bay Area Hospital, where a group of physicians and nurses awaited the baby. He stayed a few months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bay Area.
The Hinojosa family was fortunate to get to their closest ER in time for what is referred to medically as a precipitous labor delivery. A newborn arriving in the breech position and without the immediate presence of emergency medical expertise likely would not have survived.
The Hinojosa family extends their deepest thanks to the ER staff on duty that day, including the first responders at the Annaville Fire Department.

Reigning lightweight champion Selina Barrios fought ten solid rounds before a serious head wound brought her to Physicians Premier ER in the middle of the night.
After a thorough exam, Selina walked out with sutures in place in less than 40 minutes – another record for the champ.
